Sociological Theories of Crime Essay

Research the Sociological Theories of Crime, you will compose an essay that explores this topic.

To write your essay, complete the following steps:

1. Provide some of the multiple ideas of the causes of criminal behavior.

2. Analyze the sociological theories presented.

3. Select five theories that you feel would benefit your community. Rank them in order of most effective to least effective.

4. Describe how the theories could be applied to criminal behavior in your community.

5. Take the theory that you believe would benefit your community most effectively and find four sources you can use to look at both sides of the issue, two supporting your choice and two not supporting your choice.

6. Analyze and argue both sides of the theory selected.

a.    The essay should begin with an introduction to the topic.
b.    Organization should be logical, clear, and appropriate.
c.    You should provide strong evidence of critical thinking.
d.    Essay should end with a conclusion statement to support your essay.
